What is happening to buybuy BABY stores?

buybuy BABY is transforming into a digital-first brand, focusing all our energy on providing an exceptional online shopping experience. This decision comes after listening closely to you, our incredible customers, and our valued partners. Your feedback has been invaluable in shaping this new chapter.

With this shift, we've come to the difficult decision of closing our physical stores before the end of the year. We understand this may be disappointing news, and we want you to know this wasn't a choice we took lightly.

All our buybuy BABY physical store locations will begin closing sales on Friday, October 18, 2024. All sales will be final at stores starting on Friday, October 18th. Stores will be accepting buybuy BABY gift cards as payment through Thursday, October 31, 2024. Thereafter gift cards can be redeemed online at buybuybaby.com. Our website will continue operations and customers can continue to shop for all their favorite baby products at buybuybaby.com.

Will gift cards still be accepted?

Yes, our stores will still be accepting buybuy BABY gift cards as payment through October 31, 2024. From November 1st onward, gift cards can be redeemed online at buybuybaby.com.

Will the website be open?

Yes! We are pivoting to be a digital first brand with a focus on eCommerce. Our website will continue operations and customers can continue to shop for all their favorite baby products at buybuybaby.com.

Can I buy online and pick up in store?

No, our buy online and pick up in store service will no longer be active starting on October 18th, 2024.

Will I still be able to access my baby registry?

If you are a registrant, your registry will still be available on buybuybaby.com. If you have a registry completion code, you can use it in-store or online on applicable items. Registry completion code discounts will not combine with in-store discounts.

New registries can also be createdin store with an associates help or at buybuybaby.com.

Can my friends and family still purchase items from my registry?

Yes! Your friends and family can still shop for you from your registry at buybuybaby.com.

What if I have furniture on back order?

If you have a furniture back order, our customer service team will be reaching out to you directly to discuss the next steps and ensure a smooth resolution. For immediate assistance, feel free to contact us at reachus@buybuybaby.com.

Will stores continue to price match items?

No, stores will no longer price match items starting on October 18, 2024. For an online purchase price match, please reach out to our Customer Service team at reachus@buybuybaby.com. Customer service will not price match store closing discounts for purchases made online.

Can store purchases be returned?

All sales in store are final starting on October 18, 2024. All purchases made prior to October 18, 2024 in store will be subject to our standard return policy.

Online purchases will continue to be subject to our standard return policy.

Will other discounts work in store?

We will no longer accept Military discounts or Twin discounts.

Are any purchase Terms & Conditions or other policies (e.g., warranties) changing?

You can view our most current Terms and Condition on our website here. These Terms and Conditions will apply to all orders that will be placed through the new buybuy Baby website. This will include warranty and return policies that are specific to certain types of products.

Are my coupons still valid?

We are not able to honor coupons that were issued and unused under previous buybuy BABY ownership.

Will there be a new loyalty program?

We are not offering a buybuy BABY loyalty program at this time, but have plans to offer one in the near future.

Can I purchase FSA & HSA eligible items at buybuy BABY?

Currently, buybuy BABY carries a variety of baby items that are eligible for reimbursement through your FSA/HSA provider, however, we do not accept FSA or HSA cards as forms of payment at checkout. Purchase products in store or at buybuybaby.com, and then submit the receipt to your benefits provider to make a claim for reimbursement.

Due to varying restrictions and policy guidelines, always check with your insurance provider directly to ensure the eligibility of products. Please refer to your provider for their preferred method for submitting invoices based on your plan and policy guidelines.

Did the website login recently change?

Yes! We've updated our website account login to create an enhanced digital experience for our customers.

Here are some of the new perks you can expect to see:

You can activate your new account with these easy steps:

  1. Visit www.buybuybaby.com
  2. Hit the "login" icon in the top right hand corner of the page.
  3. If you are a new customer, click the "Create account" selection. If you are an existing customer, click the "Forgot your password?" selection.
  4. Create a new password.
  5. You are all set! Happy Shopping!

I have a buybuy BABY gift card. May I use it on the new website?

We are not able to honor gift cards that were issued and unused prior to August 1, 2023. Gift card balances from preexisting digital and physical gift cards expired under previous buybuy Baby ownership.

Can I return/refund an item I purchased?

All sales are final for purchases made prior to August 1, 2023 under the previous buybuy BABY ownership. These purchases are no longer eligible for return.

I had a baby registry at buybuy Baby. Is it activated on the new website?

You can create a registry here to add products from our new buybuy BABY website.

Unfortunately, we do not have any previous registry account information available.

Does buybuy BABY offer baby registries?

Yes! You can create a registry here to add products from our new buybuy BABY website or in-store at any of our buybuy BABY locations.

How do I create a registry?

To access registry on browser, simply click here.

You can add items to your registry online by clicking the "Add to Registry" button on the product page, or scan products in our stores.

Can I make a registry private? 

Yes! In your Registry Settings, under Registry Permissions, you can select to keep your registry private, with an optional passcode for friends and family.

Can I share a registry with friends and family?

You can effortlessly share your registry with family and friends, by selecting the Share button in the top right-hand corner of your Registry account page.

A registry can be shared through a unique URL, or through email or social media.

Additionally, friends and family can search for your registry here.

How does the completion discount work? 

There is a 15% Completion discount for baby registries that have at least one item on the list and have purchases of $100 or more off their registry.  

It is a one-time use code good for anything on the registry, either in-store or online, excluding gift cards.

The promo code will be sent via email 8 weeks (about 2 months) before the expected due date. The promo code is good for one year from the issue date and can only be used on baby registries.

If your baby registry was created less than 8 weeks before the due date, please reach out to: reachus@buybuybaby.com, once your registry has $100 purchased. 

What is the return policy for registry items? 

Items purchased from a Baby Registry that are new and unopened may be returned for a gift card within 365 days of purchase. For opened items, the standard return policy applies.

How do I find someone's registry?

Visit the find a registry page here, enter the name and location of the person you are looking for, and click the Search button.
